Good Day, I am a young man who has devoted much time and passion to my personal study of animals, whether marine, terestrial, vertibrate or invertibrate. Although I have not yet completed the formal training which is required for an accredited affiliation which I have sought for the past five years, I will have completed a large step toward this goal at the end of the summer semesters of this year. Being considered a layman is difficult at times, but it was the laymen of the past who made modern science what it is today. It is my goal to reach the status of independant research in the field of general zoology, whereby I hope to achieve publishing my observations and data on my chosen project(s). Ultimately, I would like to found a non profit research group which has Eastern Africa as it's region of study. My time in this area has show me how much there is to learn about the flora and fauna which abound there. An intership with you would allow me the chance to learn even more, as I begin to forge the startup research group, possibly affording me the academic competence which is necessary for recognition. Secondly, living in Florida is for most a given, which is taken for granted, however, I have been lucky to have lived here and abroad in many exciting places over the last decade, and appreciate the multuous abundance of species and life here. To have been able to see and record the changes in animal life here has been a pleasure, and I hope that one day this information will be of use. Sincerely, Mr. Michael Harbuck
